As many of you know, my husband Mike & I operate a non-profit charitable organization
for medically fragile & special needs children of Southern New Jersey called the “NJ Pediatric Patients’ Charitable
Trust Fund”(NJPPCTF)…quite a mouthful, so we usually call it the “Kids’ Trust” (much better!
J)
We began doing small
fundraisers, many years ago for a small group of children with medical problems and developmental delays who needed things
that made a big difference in their quality of life (& ability to “just be kids”) – things like communication
and adaptive play items, modifications in the home that would allow a child to be at home vs. in a facility, adaptations for
educational activities & much, much more. These areas were not covered by insurance, and were not supported by any
other charitable organization (still true today!). This small beginning eventually turned into a source of assistance
for children throughout southern NJ, since the need was so great.
As
you can imagine, the number of children & programs applying for grants from the “NJ Pediatric Patients’ Charitable
Trust Fund” (NJPPCTF) continues to grow at an incredible rate every year. We are still very small on the
organizational end however (just the 2 of us in our spare time), however, the list of children & programs applying for
grants continue to grow at an incredible rate…that’s why We Need Your Help!
* Our biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up quickly…the
